Moderna gets $176M from feds for bird flu vaccine

Moderna announced it has received $176 million from the federal government.

The funding is slated to be used for a late-stage trial of the company's mRNA H5N1 bird flu vaccine for humans.

The virus has infected three humans in the United States.
