Missouri’s November seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to its lowest point since April 2006, according to the state Department of Economic Development.
The 4.7 percent jobless rate was three-tenths of a point lower than in October, according to a news release.
Last month, Show-Me State employers added 2,200 jobs. The increase was led by the construction industry, which added 1,500 positions, the DED reports.
Earlier this month, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the nation’s non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5 percent.
