MO Senate passes tax incentive package to lure Boeing

Posted online
The Missouri Senate yesterday passed a tax incentive deal designed to lure the production of Boeing's 777X commercial airliner to St. Louis.

The News-Leader reports senators approved a bill that would give up to $150 million a year in tax incentives. If Boeing adds 2,000 jobs in Missouri, it could receive an aggregate of about $435 million by 2040, and up to $1.75 billion if it adds 8,000 jobs, according to an analysis released by Gov. Jay Nixon's office.

The bill now heads to the House for approval. Legislators have until Dec. 10 to pass a bill for consideration by the company.
