MO revenue collections up 3.6% from last year

Statewide fiscal 2011 year-to-date net general revenue collections have increased 3.6 percent to $2.23 billion compared to $2.15 billion the same time last year, according to a news release from State Budget Director Linda Luebbering.

October revenue collections were $476.4 million, up from $442.7 million collected in the same month last year, a 7.6 percent increase.

Year-to-date gross collections:
  • Individual income tax collections increased 2.9 percent to $1.59 billion, compared to $1.54 billion last year.
  • Sales and use tax collections decreased by 0.9 percent to $570.2 million this year, from $575.1 million last year.
  • Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections increased 15.3 percent to $153.5 million, compared to $133.1 million at the same time last year.
  • All other collections grew 20.4 percent to $149.6 million, up from $124.3 million last year.
  • Refunds increased 3.3 percent to $232 million, compared to $224.6 million at the same time last year.
