MO retail gas prices on the rise

Missouri's average retail gasoline prices rose 0.8 cents during the past week, averaging $2.87 on Dec. 27.

The state average is 27.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and 45.1 cents per gallon higher than the same day last year, according to a GasBuddy.com news release.

As of 9:40 a.m., the lowest cost for regular gas in the state could be found at Murphy USA in Poplar Bluff for $2.63 a gallon. The highest cost of gas listed was at BP in Kirkwood for $3.09 a gallon.

The cheapest gas in Springfield could be found for $2.77 a gallon at three Conoco locations: 1821 W. Grand St., 2720 W. Kearney St., and 3106 W. Battlefield Road, according to MissouriGasPrices.com.

The national gas average increased 4.3 cents during the week to $3.03 a gallon on Dec. 27. It has risen 17.7 cents per gallon during the last month and 42.9 cents per gallon during the last year.[[In-content Ad]]
