Missouri real estate agents sold 5,888 homes in October, an 11 percent increase compared to the same month a year earlier.
In its monthly report, the Missouri Association of Realtors said houses sold an at average price of $166,811 last month, representing a 6.5 percent increased compared to $156,636 in October 2013, according to a news release.
Total sales volume rose 18 percent to $982 million for the month.
“With solid home sales and healthy price appreciation, the current state of Missouri real estate shows strong trends with favorable conditions for both buyers and sellers,” the report states.
Houses also sold at a faster rate in October, with homes sitting on the market 122 days - a 2-day decrease, according to the release.
Logistics company Premier Truck Group is building a new truck sales and repair facility in Strafford, using precast contract, metal framing, thermoplastic polyolefin roofing and standing-seam metal in its construction.
