Mo. hospitals' uncompensated care jumps 469%

A report released by the Missouri Hospital Association shows uncompensated care in Missouri hospitals rose 169 percent 2004-14.

In 2014, uncompensated care was $723 million, up from $154 million in 2004, according to the annual Community Investment Report.

Also in 2014, Missouri hospitals incurred over $592 million in bad debt.
