During a week of heavy travel, Missouri gasoline prices fell 4.9 cents, averaging $2.59 a gallon Nov. 28.
Prices yesterday were 3.5 cents lower than a month ago and 15 cents higher than the same day in 2009, according to a GasBuddy.com news release.
As of 9:30 a.m., the lowest price per gallon for regular gasoline in the state could be found for $2.38 at two stations in Warrensburg - Murphy USA and Conoco. The highest, $2.89 a gallon, could be found in Rolla at Stop & Go.
The lowest Springfield prices were available for $2.56 a gallon at four stations - Conoco, 1821 W. Grand St.; Phillips 66, 501 W. Chestnut Expressway; Conoco, 700 N. Benton Ave.; and Casey's, 703 S. Scenic Ave.
The national average dropped 1.7 cents to $2.85 a gallon in the last week, has increased 5 cents in the last month and has jumped up 22.6 cents higher than the same time last year.[[In-content Ad]]
