Missouri’s second-quarter exports rose 6 percent to $7.2 billion, according to the latest data from Leverett, Mass.-based market tracker WiserTrade.
Canada purchased the most Show-Me State products at $3.1 billion, followed by Mexico at $1.2 billion and China at $360 million, according to a news release.
The top second-quarter exports in Missouri were:
• transportation equipment, $2.5 billion;
• chemicals, $1.1 billion;
• machinery, except electrical, $660 million;
• food and kindred products, $634 million;
• electrical equipment, applicants and components, $341 million;
• computer and electronic products, $331 million;
• fabricated metal products, $265 million;
• agricultural products, $209 million;
• plastics and rubber products, $167 million; and
• primary metal manufacturing, $143 million.
In 2015, Missouri's exports totaled $13.6 billion.
