Major League Baseball is not allowing its players to participate in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League this winter.
The decision follows President Donald Trump's move this month to freeze all assets from the government of President Nicolás Maduro, as well as prohibit transactions with Venezuela.
The MLB rule won't prevent Venezuelan players from returning to their home country in the off-season.
