University of Missouri President Mun Choi announced the elimination of the school's diversity, equity and inclusion division.
The university reportedly has faced a potential loss of state funding over its DEI department.
“As a university, we receive about $500 million per year in appropriations and $200 million in capital one-time projects,” Choi told 5 On Your Side. "If we don't receive the $700 million per year, we would have to eliminate every single position in all of the colleges that we have at the University of Missouri. That is not a risk that I want to take."
