Mizzou athletics to participate in revenue sharing

The University of Missouri's athletics department plans to opt in to the legal settlement that allows colleges to share revenue with student-athletes.

“There’s no question," said Laird Veatch, the school's athletics director, in an interview with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “If we want to compete in the (Southeastern Conference) and expect to win, then we need to be prepared to do that.”

The school plans to raise ticket prices, among other moves, to deal with the rise in expenses.
