Mizzou athletic director stepping down

The University of Missouri's athletic director since 1998 is stepping down.

Mike Alden will join the school's College of Education as an instructor. The move becomes effective Aug. 31, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

Alden's contract with the school runs through June 2019. He reportedly made $674,317 in 2013.
