Mitsubishi Motors Corp. announced the firing of Carlos Ghosn as chairman.
The move follows Ghosn's arrest and termination by Nissan Motor Co. last week for alleged financial misconduct.
“Ghosn has lost the confidence of Nissan” and it is “difficult for him to fulfill his duties," Mitsubishi officials said in a statement.
