The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has closed its diversity, equity and inclusion office amid pressure from the Trump administration.
MIT President Sally Kornbluth said the school will "sunset" its Institute Community and Equity Office. Additionally, a vice president role that oversees inclusion programs will be changed.
"MIT is in the talent business. Our success depends on attracting exceptionally talented people of every background, from across the country and around the world, and making sure everyone at MIT feels welcome and supported," Kornbluth said.
