Missouri's unemployment remained the same in May.
The state's jobless rate last month was 2.5%, according to a news release from the Missouri Economic Research and Information Center. The data is seasonally adjusted.
The Missouri unemployment rate also was 2.5% in April and March. The rates were 2.6% in February and 2.7% in January, according to past reporting.
Last month, the state's nonfarm payroll employment ranks were up by 3,700 jobs from a revised April figure, according to the release.
Industries with job increases included professional and business services, up 3,800; leisure and hospitality, up 1,000; and manufacturing, up 600. Partially offsetting those gains were job decreases in information, down 1,200; trade, transportation and utilities, down 1,100; and financial activities, down 600.
