Missouri's last operating abortion clinic was allowed to remain open after a ruling from an independent arbiter.
Officials with Missouri’s Administrative Hearing Commission said in the ruling that the clinic's operations are overwhelmingly safe.
“Planned Parenthood has demonstrated that it provides safe and legal abortion care,” wrote commissioner Sreenivasa Rao Dandamudi. “In over 4,000 abortions provided since 2018, the department has only identified two causes to deny its license.”
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services last year announced it would not renew Planned Parenthood’s license for the St. Louis clinic.
