The Missouri treasurer's office is calling on state residents to collect unclaimed property.
According to the office, county totals for unclaimed property are roughly $1.3 billion.
Unclaimed property is defined as the state as "cash from bank accounts, stocks, bonds and contents of safe deposit boxes that have been abandoned.”
