Missouri Supreme Court rules Rams suit will play out in STL

Posted online

The Missouri Supreme Court this week issued a ruling requiring a lawsuit involving the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams to be adjudicated in a St. Louis courtroom instead of in arbitration.

Billionaire Stan Kroenke, the team’s owner, had sought to move the lawsuit into arbitration. The St. Louis Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority, which owns the former Rams dome in downtown St. Louis, as well as the city and county of St. Louis, filed the suit, alleging breach of contract, fraud and other charges.

Multiple lawsuits have been filed in the wake of Kroenke relocating the team to Los Angeles from St. Louis in 2016.
