The Missouri Supreme Court has unanimously voted to deny an appeal by a marijuana company.
Mo Cann Do Inc., which applied for a cultivation license to grow marijuana in 2019, was denied. State officials cited a lack of certification of good standing from the Missouri secretary of state's office in the company's application. The company has argued the Division of Cannabis Regulation did not specify what information was lacking in a letter.
The state Supreme Court concluded that the company's failure to include a certificate of good standing meant it did not meet the minimum qualifications to be awarded a license.
