Missouri state Rep. Trish Gunby, a Democrat who in 2019 was elected to represent part of St. Louis County, is seeking a congressional seat next year.
The seat is currently occupied by Ann Wagner, a Republican who has represented Missouri's 2nd congressional district since 2013.
Ben Samuels, a Democrat who most recently worked as director of special projects for Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker, also has thrown his hat in the ring.
