Missouri state rep becomes commissioner of securities

Missouri state Rep. Michael O’Donnell, R-Oakville, has accepted the role of commissioner of securities under new Secretary of State Denny Hoskins.

"I look forward to continuing my service to Missouri in this new capacity and am committed to ensuring a smooth transition for my successor in the 95th District," O’Donnell said.

The 95th District, which covers the southern part of St. Louis County, will have a special election for O’Donnell's successor. Roughly 61% of voters gave O’Donnell the nod for the seat in November.
