State Sen. Karla May, D-St. Louis, told the Mound City Bar Association that she plans to run for a U.S. Senate seat next year.
She would seek to unseat U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Missouri.
May has been in the Missouri Senate since 2019 and before that worked eight years in the state House.
