Missouri Senate votes to limit abortion

Posted online

The Missouri Senate yesterday approved a measure that would make the state have one of the strictest abortion laws in the U.S.

The measure would ban abortion after a heartbeat is detected. It also does not include an exception for rape or incest, according to KCUR.

The bill needs approval by the state House.

Earlier this week, Alabama passed a law that bans the procedure entirely, except for medical emergencies.
