The Missouri Senate yesterday approved a measure that would make the state have one of the strictest abortion laws in the U.S.
The measure would ban abortion after a heartbeat is detected. It also does not include an exception for rape or incest, according to KCUR.
The bill needs approval by the state House.
Earlier this week, Alabama passed a law that bans the procedure entirely, except for medical emergencies.
