The Missouri Senate on Wednesday voted against funding voter-approved Medicaid expansion.
Four of the Senate's 24 Republicans joined all 10 Democrats in voting for the funding. It failed on a 14-20 vote.
The decision impacts as many as 275,000 low-income Missourians and likely sets up a court battle, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
