Missouri Senate approves PDMP

The Missouri Senate on Tuesday voted to send a bill creating a statewide prescription drug monitoring program to the governor.

The measure for years has failed to pass the chamber. Lawmakers have cited concerns that such databases could be hacked and threaten the privacy of patients.

All other states have adopted a PDMP, according to The Associated Press.
