Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway said the state will try to seize Chinese assets to recover damages in a COVID-19 case.
Hanaway said the state is seeking to enforce a $24 billion default judgment in a case that alleged China lied to the world about the origins of COVID-19.
“It’s been a long process for us to be able to enforce that judgment, but now we’ll enforce that judgment, much like any other judgment in this area,” Hanaway said.
