What is your plan to get the state budget back in line?|ret||ret||tab|

"I think we have to look at all areas, maybe even start from the bottom and just look at what we need, and then look at special programs. Education is definitely a priority giving our kids the best education possible. We also need to help protect our seniors, especially with prescription medications."|ret||ret||tab|

On transportation: "I think MoDOT does a good job; I know some people disagree with that, but I think they do a good job with what they have. We have to figure out some way, some type of program to fix the roads we already have. I'm going to look into anything and everything possible to get our roads fixed.|ret||ret||tab|

On education: "I know people are taxed to death, if we can keep from raising taxes where we're at I think there's other ways to fund that "|ret||ret||tab|

Is the Senior Rx program an issue the state should be spending money on, or should it be the responsibility of the federal government?|ret||ret||tab|

"I think both could probably help. I don't think the federal government should, per se, run it. I still believe in Social Security, though. If the state, if we have the funds and resources to help get prescription medication more affordable, especially for the middle-income seniors, those are the ones I've talked to who are hurting the most. We have to protect our seniors."|ret||ret||tab|
