Missouri reports largest single-day jump in COVID-19 cases

Missouri on Monday reported its largest single-day jump in new confirmed coronavirus cases.

The state recorded 386 new cases, topping the previous single-day high of 355 set April 5. Since the start of the outbreak, there has been 8,754 cases and 358 deaths reported in Missouri.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch cited a mass testing of employees, including asymptomatic people, at places including the Triumph Foods pork processing plant in St. Joseph.
