Missouri offered Amazon nearly $2.5 billion in incentives in a failed attempt to lure the company's second headquarters to the state.
That's according to data released from the Missouri Department of Economic Development, which offered the incentives over a 10-year period to draw Amazon to either St. Louis or Kansas City.
Amazon recently narrowed its list to 20 finalists, and Missouri didn't make the cut.
