Missouri meat processor awarded $730K grant

Missouri meat processor Zimmerman Meats has been awarded a $730,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Zimmerman, based in the southern Missouri city of Summersville, plans to increase its slaughter capacity and its ability to package and process meat products with the funding.

Zimmerman is the only Missouri company to receive funding through $73 million in nationwide USDA grants.
