A Missouri lawmaker accused of sexually and physically abusing his children when they were younger has resigned from the state House of Representatives, the Springfield News-Leader reports.
Rep. Rick Roeber, R-Lee’s Summit, cited plans to move out of state to be closer to family. He did not mention the allegations.
A House ethics committee is nearing completion of an investigation into the allegations.
