After weeks of disruption due to construction, the public will be able to access services at the Missouri Job Center in Springfield.
The center at 1660 N. Campbell Ave. will reopen to the public at 8 a.m. Monday, June 8. Visitors are asked to use a temporary entrance along Boonville Avenue.
“Crews have been working diligently to replace the roof and repair water damage from storms that occurred in early March,” said Ericka Schmeeckle, assistant director of workforce development for the City of Springfield, in a news release.
“We are grateful to the staff at the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library for allowing our staff to set up shop while construction occurred these last few weeks,” she added.
Construction of the public restrooms and entry hallway will be completed by Monday, allowing the public to once again use the facility.
Additional construction and refurbishment of the facility’s public resource area is scheduled to be completed in the coming weeks, officials said in the release.
