Missouri residents applying for or renewing Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits will face additional paperwork starting Oct. 1.
Documented proof that will be required includes shelter costs, dependent or childcare expenses, and countable resources, such as money in a bank account.
Applications submitted before Oct. 1 will follow the current policy.
