The Missouri House of Representatives is considering adding $50 million to improve the state's ports.
The funding has been inserted into the House version of the state's new spending plan at the request of lawmakers representing port authorities along the Mississippi River, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The money would, in part, work to address shipping disruptions.
