The Missouri House of Representatives on Thursday narrowly approved a school choice measure.
The 82-71 vote was made in favor of allowing students to draw scholarship funds to attend private school tuition. Under the proposal, private donors could give funds to nonprofits in exchange for tax credits. The nonprofits would distribute the funds via scholarships to students.
The legislation now heads to the Senate for consideration.
