The Missouri Hospital Association penned a letter to Gov. Mike Parson, urging him to implement a statewide mask mandate.
“The wolf is at the door. Missouri’s hospitals urge you to issue a statewide masking mandate," Missouri Hospital Association President and CEO Herb Kuhn said in the letter, dated Nov. 13. "A mask mandate may be unappealing to some, but it has become necessary. We urge your immediate action on the issue.”
Parson has eschewed calls for a statewide mask mandate in favor of personal responsibility and local control.
