A fundraising campaign for the Missouri History Museum in St. Louis is running into issues.
The museum has raised roughly $17 million. It must raise another $23 million by the end of next year to pay for exhibits and make its collections more accessible.
“We are behind," said Jody Sowell, who took over the top job at the organization overseeing the museum last month. “There’s no two ways about it.”
Sowell said “re-energizing” the campaign is one of his top goals.
