Dr. Randall Williams, director of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, resigned yesterday.
The reason for his resignation was not given by Gov. Mike Parson's office. Parson named Robert Knodell, his deputy chief of staff, as the agency's acting director.
Williams has led the state's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
