A mostly private program will usher in Mike Parson as Missouri’s 57th governor today.
It begins with a 4 p.m. prayer service at Jefferson City’s First Baptist Church. The oath-of-office ceremony at 5:30 p.m., in the Governor's Office in the Capitol. Gov. Eric Greitens plans to officially resign at 5 p.m. today, just 16 months into his four-year term.
The public is not invited to either event, although media will be present, according to the Jefferson City News Tribune.
