Missouri's general revenue collections are trending upward following the start of the state's fiscal year this summer.
For the first two months of fiscal 2026, through August, net general revenue collections were nearly $1.9 billion, according to a news release from the Missouri Office of Administration. That's up 5.3% compared with the same two-month period in fiscal 2025.
Gross collections by tax type for fiscal 2026, year to date through August, are below:
• Individual income tax collections increased by 8.7% to $1.2 billion.
• Pass-through entity tax collections were down 26.8% to $26.5 million.
• Sales and use tax collections ticked up 0.8% to $601 million.
• Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections decreased by 12.5% to $49.4 million.
• All other collections were down 5.3% to $136.2 million.
• Refunds dropped by 8.5% to $171.7 million.
For the month of August, net general revenue collections were over $1 billion, a 9.5% increase compared with the same month of 2024, according to the release.
