Missouri general revenue collections up 1% in fiscal year

Missouri general revenue collections are up 1% so far in the state's fiscal year, which began July 1.

For the eight-month period through February, net general revenue collections climbed to $8.4 billion from $8.3 billion a year earlier, according to a news release from the office of Dan Haug, state budget director.

Gross collections by tax type for fiscal 2026, year to date through February, are as follows:
• Individual income tax collections increased 2.9% to $5.7 billion
• Pass-through entity tax collections decreased 24.1% to $316.4 million
• Sales and use tax collections rose 4.5% to $2.3 billion
• Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections dropped by 21% to $410.5 million
• All other collections ticked down 0.8% to $582.8 million
• Refunds decreased by 4.4% to $847.4 million

For the month of February, net general revenue collections decreased 2.5% to $856.9 million compared with the same month in the previous fiscal year, according to the release.
