Missouri’s gross domestic product, the value of all goods and services produced in the state, grew 3.9% annually in the second quarter from the previous quarter, according to data released Friday by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
That marked a significant increase from the first quarter, when the state’s GDP growth was -0.5%.
Missouri's GDP growth ranked eighth nationally and third in the seven-state Plains region, after Kansas and Nebraska. Those two states grew by 5.6% and 5.3%, respectively.
