Missouri Department of Natural Resources Director Carol Comer has died. She was 54.
In 2019, Comer announced she had two unsuccessful surgeries and would start chemotherapy for cancer.
The environmental lawyer was named director of the department in 2017 by former Gov. Eric Greitens.
