Stover was hired Sept. 30 to head up the sales team in the newly formed Business and Community Services Division that was created out of DED’s recent reorganization. Stover owns KS Consulting in Jefferson City, which provides marketing and technology consulting services to Fortune 1000 firms.
“Kevin will play the leading role in creating jobs and boosting our economy by showing the private and public sector what Missouri has to offer,” said DED Director Greg Steinhoff in a news release.
Stover and his team are responsible for finding opportunities to create jobs in Missouri, as well as meet with outside business leaders and entice them to make private investments in the state. The sales team will work to increase local revenues and partner with local communities.
Industry specialists will be named on the team to focus on areas critical to economic growth, particularly agriculture, life sciences, automobile manufacturing and advanced technology.
Stover, 51, is a former senior executive with Fortune 500 companies. He previously served as senior vice president and chief operations officer for Harcourt Educational Measurement in Texas and vice president for corporate auditing at Prudential Insurance in New Jersey.
He has a history degree from Trinity College in Connecticut.
