Missouri courts are asking for $3.7 million to continue conducting marijuana charge expungements.
The state's circuit courts have cleared over 100,000 such charges from criminal records so far. The expungement initiative was included in the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Court officials say it's difficult to tell how many expungements are left because many court records are not digitized.
