The Missouri Court of Appeals this week upheld a 2018 verdict against Johnson & Johnson, confirming a former decision that its talc powder caused cancer in 22 women.
However, the court slashed the original $4.7 billion judgment by more than half to $2.1 billion.
The court's decision factored in information that 17 of the women should not have been included in the original verdict because they were not residents of Missouri.
