The acquisition, for which terms were not disclosed, became effective Jan. 17.
The 42-member staff at Missouri Color Web will remain intact, but the local printing company will change its name to Nowata Printing Co. at a later date. Its affiliation with the Oklahoma printer also will provide it with a number of resources at the Nowata location – a new 12-unit Goss Magnum press, a Screen computer-to-plate unit and a 6-into-1 Mueller inserter, to name a few.
“In the printing industry, it’s all about capacity – how much can you print, and how fast can you print it, and how good can you print it,” Missouri Color Web sales manager Matt Morrison said. “This allows us basically to be faster and have better quality, and it makes us a much more formidable printer in the region.”
