The director of Missouri’s child welfare division is resigning on Nov. 1.
Darrell Missey has led the Children’s Division since early 2022. His nearly three-year tenure is the longest for the child welfare division under Gov. Mike Parson, who has seen six directors on the job.
Kayla Ueligger, the department’s operational excellence director, will serve as interim director. A search will be conducted for a permanent successor.
