While venture capital funding is down nationwide, Missouri's industry is growing this year, according to a National Venture Capital Association report.
During the first six months of the year, Missouri companies brought in $471.5 million worth of venture funding. That's up 58% compared with the same period last year.
Comparatively, nationwide venture capital funding dropped by 40% to $85.6 billion during the six-month period.
